THE ORIENTAL MEETINGS IN SOSNOWIEC
(SOSNOWIECKIE SPOTKANIA ORIENTALISTYCZNE)

An interdisciplinary academic conference promoting intercultural dialogue addressed to young scholars, including postgraduate and graduate students, whose research interests focus on the languages, literature and cultures of Oriental countries, especially Arabic-speaking countries, Central Asian countries, China, Japan and India.

The conference will explore a wide spectrum of topics ranging from the ancient civilizations to the present-day cultures and languages of these regions in all their richness and diversity.

Venue: MS Teams & The Institute of Linguistics, ul. Grota Roweckiego 5, 41-205 Sosnowiec, Poland.
Conference languages: English / Polish.
Paper presentations: 20 minutes for the presentation plus 5 minutes for the discussion.
Abstract submission: Abstracts (no longer than 250 words, Times New Roman, 12 pts.) should be submitted in PDF or Word format to konferencja.omis@gmail.com by 12 September 2021, along with filled registration forms. The body of the email should contain the author’s first name and surname, affiliation and the title of the presentation.
Paper acceptance notification: by 15 September 2021
